CT dosimetry and image optimisation for medical physicists
10.11.2010-12.11.2010, Aarhus Denmark
Welcome!
It is our great pleasure to invite you to Aarhus, Denmark to the Nordic Association for Clinical Physics course: CT dosimetry and image optimisation for medical physicists, on November 10-12, 2010.
We feel privileged and honored that many of the Nordic leading experts in the field have accepted our invitation to actively participate in this course organised by the Nordic Association for Clinical Physics and the Danish Society of Medical Physics.
The number of CT-examinations performed are increasing, today about 59 % of the dose from radiological radiation derive from CT (NRPA, 2007). The need for medical physicists to obtain further training in CT regarding dosimetry, image quality, optimisation and technology is therefore important.
The target group of the meeting is medical physicists in the Nordic countries.
The aim of the course is
CT Technique: tube technology, detector technology, dose modulation, image Reconstruction
Dose and Image: dosimetry in CT, image quality
Optimisation: optimisation theory in CT, image and dose optimisation projects
Hands on Workshops: dosimetry, image quality measurement in Lab, reading clinical images with radiologists
The organizing committee of the meeting includes:
Henrik Andersson (Sweden), Jon Holm (Sweden), Mika Kortesniemi (Finland), Anne Catrine Martinsen (Norway), Kirsten Nygaard (Norway), Stine Groth-Hansen (Denmark) and Jolanta Hansen (Denmark).
INVITATION is available for download
Be sure to already now mark your calendar for this event. Registration deadline: 1. october 2010.
We look forward to seeing you in the “city of smile”!
